Welcome!

Notes

Hello Learners,

Here are my Home Learning ideas for this final week of learning. It's been an interesting journey through these past weeks, and this week's theme is ending as it started way back in Week 1. There are a lot things happening in the world right now, and that has me thinking about one of the simplest things anyone can do to help, and that is:  .Be kind. These quotes from Martin Luther King Jr. are my source of inspiration for this week's activities: "You will change your mind; You will change your looks; You will change your smile, laugh, and ways but no matter what you change, you will always be you." "Love is the only force capable of transforming an enemy into a friend."  I have missed you so much and still think of you every day. We have had some great times, and will be able to do so again. It has been a pleasure teaching you all. You can still keep in contact with me this summer through my email at alison.sullivan@nbed.nb.ca.

Love, Mrs. Sully

Wow! Can you believe we've been doing Home Learning for 9 weeks?!I hope you enjoy some of the ideas I've planned for you this week. I can't wait to see who can solve my Math Coin Challenge. This week I've put two books for you to read in your Raz Kids library under Assignments. They are about our reading theme of the week, so enjoy! I hope everyone is still getting in lots of reading and working on their Reflex math facts. Some of you are really close to 100%, so I encourage you to beat it in these last few weeks. Maybe you want to try something new, so just below I have included the link for J.K. Rowling's,(who wrote Harry Potter), new online book called "The Ickabog."  As usual, I miss you all. Have a good week, learners!

Hi Learners!

Another beautiful week, weather-wise! Hope you are trying new things and getting your body outside. Here are your weekly home  learning ideas. I love getting all your pictures of what you've been doing, and a few of them were featured in our District Gallery of Home Learning:  http://asd-n.nbed.nb.ca/galleries . Take a look and maybe you'll find something to catch your interest and try! The district also has a home learning resource page for families here: http://asd-n.nbed.nb.ca/ahl Please don't hesitate to email me if you have anything to share, or questions:  alison.sullivan@nbed.nb.ca

I wonder if you've ever made a board game before? This week, let your imagination roll when you make one. Send me a pic and I'll post it here! I looove seeing people try out the Raz reading site! Hello Friends!

Glad to see you here checking out new ideas for learning this week! I hope you find something to catch your interest. Reflex Math is missing you all... How about going on this week and racking up some facts? Also, keep up the great work on Raz! Remember that Tuesday is Pickup Day for your things, and that should be nice to get. I bet you want those sneakers!

Keep moving your bodies, getting outside, and running around. Build things, chase things, ride a bike, go on your scooter, practice pitching, catching ,or dribbling, skipping and running. Or just explore a field. Sit under a tree and listen to the wind or beside a shore and listen to the waves.

I miss you all and really enjoy speaking with you each week.

Take care,

Mrs. Sully

Hi Friends,

Hooray!!! The weather has finally gotten warmer! I hope you get the chance to get your rubber boots on and head out to look at the way the season is changing. (I was soooo happy to see the snow disappear!) Watch for new birds arriving, trees budding green leaves, and plants springing up.

Here are this weeks home learning ideas. I am really stoked to launch our new online reading resource, Raz Kids. It's kinda like Reflex, where you can earn cool swag for completing tasks. I'll be sending each of your parents an email to give you your password, so check it out!  https://www.raz-kids.com/
