Grade 2N took a walk to see the progress on the flowerboxes on Wednesday. One flowerbox is complete and the shop class is continuing on the other two. They are beautiful! Just wait until we fill them with flowers!
The Miramichi Kinsmen and Anglophone North School District are pleased to accept film entries for the Third Annual Kin Film Festival. All students in ASD-N are invited to participate. Students may submit films in one or both of the two categories.
The first category is the Kin Category. Films in this category will address the theme “Doing the Right Thing”.
The second category is the Open Category. Films of any genre or subject matter can be submitted to this category.
The top films selected in each category will be screened.
We will be having our annual Spell-A-Thon at NSEE on Thursday, May 9th. As in previous years, all funds raised will be used for improvements in technology. This is our ninth year for this event and we are hoping for 100% participation from our students.
The grade 4F class was happy to help Mrs. Allison, our Librarian celebrate her 60th birthday.

NSEE recently welcomed a new addition to
their school “Ricky The Salamander”.
Ricky will be housed in the Science room where two wonderful students
built a fully functioning Habitat for him to live and enjoy the attention.

Matchett and Emma Sillker for working on the Salamander Habitat during their
lunch breaks.

Grade 6 students Zachary Henderson and Halle Gopee represented NSEE at the district oratory competiton on Saturday, April 20th. The competition was held at Bathurst High School. Both students did an excellent job!
The New Brunswick Student Wellness Survey began in 2006-2007 for grades 6-12 students and was repeated in 2009-2010. As part of the NB Wellness Strategy, the New Brunswick Department of Healthy and Inclusive Communities in collaboration with the Department of Education and the New Brunswick Health Council have undertaken the 2012-2013 NB Student Wellness Survey to measure and report on the wellness behaviours of all students in grades 6-12.
On Friday, April 12th, NSEE recognized the hard work of students by holding a "Recognition Assembly" in the gym. Students in grades Kindergarten to Grade 6 celebrated the accomplishments of students with certificates in the areas of attendance, positive attitude and courtesy.
A special thanks to Mrs. Sullivan and Miss Downey and their Grade 5 students who hosted a "Kitchen Party" with students playing the spoons. A good ol' knee slappin' time was had by all!
