Another great elementary basketball season has come to an end! The boys and girls basketball players played an exciting game on Wednesday, March 27...it was "students" versus "parents"!The game was filled with lots of laughter, fun and it was definitely a "nail biter" to the very end.Thank you to all of the players and parents for making this such a great season.Also special thanks goes out to our coaches, Marcy Downey and Jamie Henderson! On Friday morning, NSEE students and staff, along with some students from Eel Ground and Metepenagiag School were excited to watch a performance of the "Velveteen Rabbit" performed by Theatre New Brunswick. What a great way to end the week!!

Hill High School on Wednesday, March 20th.The CUTE Awards (Creative Use of Technology in Education) is an event that was conceptualized to recognize and encourage the creative use of technology by students and teachers in our classrooms. Over the years, the awards have evolved to reflect the changing learning environments that our teachers are nurturing.

It’s that time of year again for Our Cutest Pet Contest. In the past, this has proven to be a great school fundraiser and also an activity that has brought fun and excitement to the classrooms at our school. Please see attachments below or find in our school newsletter.
Theme: “School Color” Day
Let’s show some school spirit and dress in our school colors….burgundy and white.
Students in Kindergarten and Grade 1 will be going skating in the morning.
Afternoon:
Students in grades K to 4 will be participating in outdoor activities in the afternoon. Dress appropriately! Bring extra mittens!
Students in grades 5 to 6 will be going to the Renous rink to watch the NSEE grade 5 and 6 minor hockey players play against Blackville School.
The bus will leave at 12:15. The game starts at 1pm. Dress warmly!
There will be public skating next week at the Sunny Corner Arena.
Tuesday, March 5th at 4 pm

Friday, March 8th from 2-4pm
Students can dress like a Scientist.
Science assembly from 8:30 to 9:00am.
Students in Kindergarten thru Grade 6 will then be participating in “Science East” workshops.

Don’t forget, tomorrow is PINK SHIRT day. We hope to see many people wearing pink as one way to show support against bullying. Remember, you don’t have to wear pink to show you care; you can do this by treating others kindly and with respect the differences in others. Unfortunately sometimes people fear those who are different from them and this fear can turn into anger and hatred – just like when the boy from Nova Scotia who was not accepted by everyone for wearing pink. When this happens, everyone loses. You can do your part by accepting others for themselves.
