June 8, 2020

Dear Parents and Students,

Welcome to the last week of “Home Learning”.  As you are aware, my post last week outlined learning suggestions to be completed over two weeks.  Please explore any remaining suggestions this week that you have not already completed.

I want to remind you of our "Grade 6 Celebration” to be held on Wednesday, June 10th at 6:30pm at the school.  Please review the guidelines for the event on the Grade 6 Facebook page.  I am looking forward to seeing you all as always!

Take care,

Mrs. Norton

Dear Parents and Students,

Welcome to weeks 9 and 10 of “Home Learning”!  I have decided to post material for you to explore for the next two weeks.  We are starting to have some really nice weather that I know you will enjoy, hence my assignment post is intended to give you more choice at this time.  I will be contacting you each week as I have done in the past.  I am hoping you are having fun and you are keeping busy, always acknowledging social distance guidelines.  I think about all of you often and wish we could have one more “normal” day together!  Keep tuned regarding messages having to do with our end of year “Grade 6 Celebration” that is scheduled for June 10, 2020.

Take care,

Mrs. Norton

Dear Parents and Students,

Welcome to week 3 of “Home Learning”!  Here are a few highlights you will find in our learning suggestions this week:

  1. Our new topic in math is “Percent”.
  2. Math art project using tessellations.

I hope everyone is enjoying the weather outside, especially since most of the snow has disappeared and the sun is shining so bright!  Bella (my dog) and I have been taking advantage of this weather and have enjoyed several walks up and down our lane.

If you have any questions, concerns or you just want to share a story, please do not hesitate to reach out to me!  (I miss our daily conversations and stories!)
