Parents are reminded that NSEE is a NUT FREE SCHOOL. We have several students with allergies to peanuts and other nuts. Students are not permitted to bring peanut butter sandwiches or other nut products to school. This also includes WOWBUTTER. Please ensure that babysitters or others who have responsibilities for lunches are aware of this rule.
This is a reminder to parents and students that the first day of the 2011 - 2012 school year will begin on Tuesday September 6th. The entire staff at NSEE hope that each and every student had a terrific break and is excited for the upcoming school year!
Parents of Kindergarten students are reminded of the staggered entry and to contact the school if there are any questions.

Grade 4 students are enjoying using their new Sony eReaders. The class has 6 of the electronic devices. They are used as part of their daily literacy class. The readers were purchased with some of the funds raised from the recent Spell-a-thon. All the funds raised were used to enhance technology in the school.
The best — and worst! — of both worlds meet when fantasy meets the harsh reality of school in this toe-tapping, pop musical adventure! When Cinderella’s stepsisters find a portal to another world, they get zapped into a very real high school and decide to never return. After all, in this world, mean girls are popular! A comically ambitious Woodsman who dreams of being a storybook hero pursues the stepsisters to bring them back and recruits the help of Danica, a hard-core realist who never believed in fairy tales and only sees the dark side of life.
We are very pleased to announce that Ethan Schewaga, has been selected as our Turnaround Achievement Award Winner for 2011. This program recognizes one student from each school in the district who has shown the most effort, commitment and perseverance in turning around their life.
