The
Miramichi Kinsmen and School District 16 are pleased to accept film
entries for the first annual Kin Film Festival. All School District 16
students are invited to participate. Films can be submitted in one of
two categories: Open and The Kinsmen Category. The top 10 films in each
category will be screened on May 7th, 2011 at Miramichi Empire Studio
5. Cash prizes of $500, $250 and $100 will be awarded for the winners
in each category.

NSEE Grade 5 Students: Brett, Mackenzie, Emily and Skylar presented David Saunders, President of the SPCA with a cheque for $200.00. The funds were raised by the students during lunch time in a contest to determine if Mr. Mutch should dress up as a chicken, clown or a fairy. In the end the decision was for Mr. Mutch to spend the morning in a fairy costume.

The 8th Annual Principal's Cup hockey challenge between NSEE and Blackville School was played at the Tom Donovan Arena in Renous on Friday, March 4th. The NSEE grade 6 students brought the Cup back to NSEE in a 4-3 overtime victory. In the history of the challenge, NSEE has managed to win the Cup 5 times while Blackville has taken it home 3 occasions.

Our grade 6 classes enjoyed a friendly competition to create snow sculptures In celebration of National Flag day, February 15th. 6D was the class winner of a class pizza party.
