Congratulations to Joe Augustine who won in the Best Photo Story category for his project called "My Culture". After accepting his award he did an interview with 99.3 The River. We are very proud of how well he did. Also congratulations to the staff of NSEE for winning the C.U.T.E. award for Best Use of School Website.
“Blue Suede Paws” Spring Musical
Wow! We had 62 students try out for drama this year!
We wish we had parts for everyone but there were only 22 speaking parts. It is great to see so many students getting involved at our school.
Drama practice will take place on Mondays and/or Wednesdays from 3:10 until 4:30. (Check their schedule)
Please ensure that your child is practicing their lines and song at night.
The songs can be located on NSEE’s webpage (Please see Mrs. Mutch’s Teacher Page)
Several students from NSEE have been nominated for a CUTE AWARD for different digital videos (can be seen on Mrs. Colwell's Teacher page).
The ceremony will be held at James M. Hill High School auditorium on Wednesday February 15th at 7:00 pm. Everyone is welcome to attend and there is no admission charge!
The Home & School will be celebrating Staff Appreciation Week - February 13-17
Parents are asked to help the Home & School "Stick it to your Teacher" by sending in rolls of masking tape and sticky notes on or before Tuesday, February 14th. For more information, contact our Home & School President, Debbie Matchett @ 622-7302.
There will be both an internal and external review team which will be gathering data at our school. The external review team will be conducting a Parent Forum on Wednesday, January 18 at 7:00 pm in the school cafeteria. This forum will be a guided discussion where parents can contribute information that will help provide a description of our school and its operations in relation to current research on effective schools. We invite and welcome diverse perspectives to assist the external reviews team in understanding the true reality of NSEE. Please consider this opportunity as one that helps
Grade 5 Students at NSEE would like to invite the community to drop off plastic bottles and cans for our Bottle Drive on Friday, January 13, and Friday January 20, between 3:00 and 5:00 pm, at the front of the school. Students will be there to help unload, and it will be a great time to get rid of those bottles that have piled up over the holidays! All proceeds will go towards buying new furniture for our school library. Thank you for your help, Grade 5S.
On Thursday, December 22nd students will have the opportunity to purchase pepperoni pizza for lunch, at a cost of $1.50 per slice.
The cafeteria will be closed for the holidays.
Please provide your child with a recess snack and a drink for lunch. All pizza must be pre-ordered and paid by Wednesday, December 21st.
All funds raised will help to defer the costs of sports uniforms.
