We are very pleased to announce that Ryan Lawlor, has been selected as our Turnaround Achievement Award Winner for 2012.
This program recognizes one student from each school in the district who has shown the most effort, commitment and perseverance in turning around their life. Ryan will be recognized at a banquet at the Rodd Inn on Thursday, May 17th. Congratulations Ryan!

The Miramichi Kinsmen and School District 16 are pleased to
accept film entries for the second annual Kin Film Festival. All School
District 16 students are invited to participate. Films can be submitted
in one of two categories: Open and The Kinsmen Category (The Communities Greatest Need). The top 10
films in each category will be screened on May 12th, 2012 at Miramichi
Empire Studio 5. Cash prizes of $500, $250 and $100 will be awarded for
the winners in each category.
Students in Mrs. Mutch's Grade 1 & 2 class made kites for the Science Fair. The weather conditions were perfect on Friday, so the students spent part of the afternoon outside, trying the kites out. It was very successful and all 12 kites could be seen soaring through the sky.
This spring the NSEE Home & School will be participating in a Veseys Bulb Fundraiser. Catalogues and order forms went home earlier this week and are due back to the school by Monday, April 23rd.There will be prizes for the Top Class Sales in K-2 and 3-6 as well as a prize for the Top Seller in K-2 and 3-6.
Top Classroom Sales in K-2 and 3-6 will win a Slushie Party for the entire class.
Top Seller in K-2 and 3-6 will win a movie pass.
Our fundraising was a huge success raising over $2,000 for technology in our school. Top Class Pledges K-2 – Mrs. Norton’s Kindergarten Class Total - $338.00 3-6 – Mrs.
We will be hosting our school based science fair on April 18th from 6:00 -8:00 pm.
Parents and Family are encouraged to come and observe and celebrate the various science fair projects that will be on display in the gym.
Students at NSEE will be entertained by Theatre New Brunswick performers on Friday at 9:00 am. Students are asked to bring a toonie to help cover the cost of this performance.
