We have been comparing amounts (dogs/balls; animals/dots...) and using the terms more, fewer and the same amount. Check out this link with your child to have some fun with the terms at home: http://www.ixl.com/math/kindergarten/fewer-and-more-comparing-groups Fewer is a bit tricky because we tend to say "a few more" but be careful - fewer actually means less!

Timmy Tiger is our Zoophonics animal that teaches us the letter and sound for Tt. We made "time for t" this week since it is almost "turkey time"! Allie Alligator has been helping kindergarten with the sound for the letter /a/. We learned how to make an upper case A and a lower case a. We had a wonderful day at McAllister's Farm today! We picked apples and learned lots about apple trees! We also saw grapes and pears and one lonely raspberry. We watched horses and cows eat apples. The wagon ride at the end was a great tour of the orchard.

Check out the great patterns we wore and made today! Thank you parents - even ponytails had patterns! We saw patterns everywhere - by the end of the day our hands couldn't even stop making sound patterns.

We turned the letter P into Peewee Penguin! Peewee Penguin had a mystery P bag in our room! We found lots of P things in it. Our lips were popping all day! If you want that popping feeling say the /p/ words in this video: http://www.youtube....
