We met in the gym where Mrs. Carney talked about Terry Fox's life and asked some great questions that the children all quickly knew the answers to. Update

We have successfully completed our first Fire drill and Lockdown practice for the year. The children did an excellent job with both practices. We didn't have any children get upset and everyone followed instructions really well! Great job KH! Our Terry Fox Walk is this Friday check the link for more details. Remember our magazine campaign is underway. Orders can be sent to the school at any time.

New Letters

We have learned the letters Aa and Bb so far at school. Keep reviewing these at home by pointing out words that begin with those sounds and finding the letters in magazines, books and signs.  You can also help them practice making the letters. It would be fun to make the letters in sand, flour, shaving cream or cornmeal (practice names this way too)!

Homework

This week's homework: read to your child each evening and record the name of the book on the calendar found in their "Homework Folder".  Remember to return this folder on Friday!

Cafeteria

The cafeteria will not open until Friday, September 9th. If your child is ordering please send their money in a labeled wallet or baggie. Also make them aware that they are ordering and remind them to let me know when they get here (or send a note in their folder).
