After doing many jack-o-lantern crafts, we finally got to do the real thing!! We voted on how the face should look and then we started digging the insides out! Some were braver than others! We used our words to describe how it felt and I heard slimy, gross, warm, sticky, good and many more. Now...

The Sesame Street crew have some names that star with J too: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SKYMpRSvg2Y(link is external) We practiced making the letter J - both the upper case that stands on the line and the lower case that looks like a fish hook hanging in the water. You will be able to see our paper Jack-O-lanterns when you come on Halloween, and we took some paper bag ones home today. We even carved a real one!! Check out the pictures!

Kindergarten will be practicing making our numerals to 3. We are really good at counting that high but we like to take a break and watch these counting videos.
