As part of the Fish Friends initiative, NSEE grade 2 students from Mrs. Silliker's class enjoy the opportunity to learn about the growth of the Atlantic Salmon. A big thank you to Mr. Grant Hendry for delivering the eggs to the school and taking the time to explain the salmon growth process to the grade 2 students. Thanks Grant!
The entire staff of NSEE would like to wish everyone a wonderful March Break. May you take this time to relax and spend time with family and friends. Students return to classes on Monday March 13th.
NSEE is very proud to announce that two students have been chosen from schools across New Brunswick to receive prize packages for participating in Fire Prevention Week. Congratulations goes to Will Rumbolt and Daynen Stewart who received their prize and were given the roll as Fire Chief for the Day! A big thank you to the Sunny Corner Fire Department!
Congratulations to Daynen Stewart (Grade 4) and Will Rumbolt (Grade 2) for being picked for "Fire Chief For the Day"! The students in the class were treated to lunch and had a visit from the firemen. Winners were given a backpack full of treats and were able to go for a drive in the firetruck.
Winter Carnival Week will take place the week of February 27th. Many activities are being planned for the week. A memo will go home in the near future outlining the weeks events including theme days! Note that the annual Principal Cup hockey game against Blackville School will take place at the Renous Arena on Thursday March 2nd beginning at noon. Go Jr. Cobras!
TNB Young Company will be at NSEE to Perform "The Damsel In Distress Who Saved Herself" on Thursday February 17th at 9:00 am. Students are asked to bring in a toonie to help off set the cost of the performance.
Due to the ongoing power outages, and school closures the NSEE Family Literacy Day has been postoned and will be rescheduled at a later date next week. Stay tuned! Please note that the special meal that was to be served on Friday January 27th will be served on Monday January 30th.
