Week 1: Grade 1 Home Learning

Good morning, Grade One! Welcome to our first week of Home Learning. I have many exciting new learning suggestions for you. Every Monday morning, I will post new activities on my teacher page for the week. Don’t forget to pop on over to Miss. Downey’s teacher page as she will have a weekly Wellness activity for you and Ms. Mountain is only a click away! Be sure to visit her page for your weekly Culture lesson.

You will find three attachments for this week’s Home Learning. Please review each one carefully as each will explain this week’s activities:

• “Welcome to Raz Kids” (Please e-mail me at jillian.girouard@nbed.nb.ca to obtain your child’s password to access Raz Kids). Thanks!

Please know that mental wellness and family connectedness takes precedence during these times. At-home learning is going to be all about balance, and I do not want you to feel overwhelmed. Hi, Friends!

Ollie and I just wanted to say hi from our home to yours! Ollie and I have been busy spending time outside, reading and baking! I must say, Ollie is particularly loving when I bake. Can you guess why? I hope you are having fun spending time with your family.

We Miss You!

Hi, Class! I miss you very much! I know there is a lot going on right now. You might feel worried. You might feel sad. That’s okay! This is really a time to be PROUD! PROUD of our community that is working together. PROUD of people helping people. PROUD of people putting others first. Through all of this, I hope you know I’m so very proud of you and I miss you! I'm sending you hugs, sunshine, smiles, rainbows and butterflies your way!
