Carter Young and Kiersten Hamilton honored our class by laying a wreath at the Remembrance Day Ceremony on November 10th.  They did a GREAT job and our class was very well behaved.  I was very proud of them.  They showed great respect for our veterans.

One of our Guided Reading groups performed their book, "The Brave Tailor" in front of their friends.  The children took their roles very serious and practices daily.  They were responsible for the props and truly enjoyed themselves.  Wonderful!

Our school will be collecting Food Bank items until Christmas.  It is the time of year for giving.  The children have already begun bringing items in.  They are always excited about what they have brought and the food bank is very appreciative.

Our class has begun a penpal program with a local school.  The other students are also in Grade 2 and we will be writing once a month.  At the end of the year, we are hoping to meet our penpals in person. The children seem very excited about this opportunity.

On Monday, we will be celebrating Halloween.  Children are encouraged to dress up.  There will be one prize for most creative cosume for each grade level.  A Halloween Parade of Costumes will be held starting at 8:45.  There will be a half hour of games for each class throughout the day. Please...
