Today was Chester's first visit. We asked Cheryl and Darren lots of questions
about Chester. We got to touch Chester's feet when Cheryl walked around the blanket
with him. We can't wait to see him again in three weeks!

After we read Iggy Peck Architect, we decided to use our STEM bins to create
our own bridges using different materials. Iggy Peck helped his class get back to school by building a bridge.
We then wrote about our structures in our STEM bin booklets.

1M participated in the grade one district popsicle catapult
challenge. We built catapults using plastic spoons, elastics
and popsicle sticks. We then tested our catapults using
chocolate pumpkins. We had lots of fun!

We have been working with Mrs. Mary Jane Ward
to make beaded necklaces. Last Thursday we
made our own beads using a dough that Mrs.
Ward made, and today we beaded the
necklaces. Our necklaces are beautiful!

We walked out to the NSER Community Garden with 1G. There are still some vegetables left and some very tall sunflowers!
