NSEE Breakfast Program

Posted: September 25, 2012

Breakfast is an important factor in student achievement and learning.  But we know many students skip this first meal of the day for many reasons -- from having an early morning bus, to sleeping in or choosing not to eat because they don't like to eat when they first get up.  School breakfast programs are a great way to ensure that all students have the opportunity for a healthy start to the day.    NSEE is happy to announce that the 2012-2013 school year will see us start a breakfast for learning program, available to all students.    Donations for the program such as: bread, cheese whiz, jam, juice, cereal and/or grocery store gift cards may be dropped off at the School or at the Sunny Corner Irving.  Reminder that we are a NUT FREE School.    We are also looking for parent volunteers who could be at the school from 7:45 -8:45 to help with this program, we would love to see you help out!  If you are able to volunteer please contact Paula at 836-7010.    A reminder that Policy 701 training is required prior to volunteering at the school, this training can be done online and will only require a small amount of time.   Information on Policy 701 is available at the school.
