National Tree Day serves as a celebration for all Canadians to appreciate the great benefits that trees provide us - clean air, wildlife habitat, reducing energy demand and connecting with nature.The kindergarten classes at North & South Esk Elementary celebrated National Tree Day by planting an oak tree beside their school. Our principal, Mike Buggie, spoke to the children about the importance of trees and how to care for them.
