On Thursday September 12th 2013, North & South Esk Elementary EST-Resource Teacher Mrs. Melissa Esty received an important call from department of Education and Early Chidhood Development Deputy Minister, John McLaughlin.  He delightfully informed her that she will be receiving the Minister’s Excellence in Teaching Award.  This award is given to recognize educators for their outstanding skills in supporting the diverse needs of all learners. NSEE is very proud, Mrs. Esty is one of only two educators from each of the NB's four anglophone school districts so honoured.  On a daily basis Mrs. Esty demonstrates excellence in educational leadership, inclusive instructional practice and promotes a positive learning environment.  Staff and students congratulate her and thank her for an exceptional commitment and dedication to North & South Esk Elementary School.
