Dear Parents & Guardians,
I know this is a confusing time for everyone. Hopefully we will be back to school soon. In the meantime, I sent home a learning package with my students last Thursday. There enough in that package to last about week.
Suggested Learning:
10 Minutes- Warm up & Mental math:
Students can work on “Power Builder A” (the top part of their sheet 2 in their package).
We have done these in the classroom already so it should be just practice.
Students can also work on their multiplication or division facts on www.multiplication.com
or using flash cards or a regular deck of cards (just flip over 2 cards and multiply them) or roll a set of dice and multiply them.
20 Minutes- Lesson:
Students can do “N2 Task Card Building Block D” (sheet 3 in their package).
We have not starting adding and estimation yet so this might be new for some.
Students should make the number an easier (friendly) number and then solve it.
For example: 6703 + 2148 becomes 7000 + 2000=9000
20 Minutes- Dreambox:
Students can work on their Dreambox Math program. I sent home their username and passwords on the sheet last week.
This program advances students at their own level. Please do not help them with any question.
