Tonight I sent a Math Fact sheet in a page protector to use with the whiteboard marker in your child's Math Homework Kit. This sheet should stay at home, and total time spent should be around 5 minutes of practice. How about one line each night, do the corners, go horizontally or vertically...? The choice is up to you! The goal for your child is recall within three seconds.

Did you know that research has found that the single best method for improving student reading is to ...just read? How easy is that? I have started to give your child reading at home for 15 minutes each night as regular reading homework. I am encouraging them to find a book that they love and give it a go.They may take books from the class or school library, or read from books at home or public library, too. It isn't necessary to record the book title or details about the reading time for me.  Happy Reading everyone!
