On Thursday March 20th 2014 Staff and students were very proud as the "Mike Buggie Leadership Award" was unveiled.Mike Buggie was a
dedicated Principal, teacher, and colleague who made significant contributions
not only to the learning community at NSEE but also to the community of Sunny
Corner. He will always be remembered for
his dedication to children, his passion for bringing new innovative ideas to
his school. A loving father devoted to
his family and work, Mike was passionate about education and the ability to
reach all children so that they have a positive and productive educational
The ASD-N Elementary Science STEM Fair that was scheduled to take place on Thursday, March 20th has been postponed until April. Once a date has been selected all school participants will be notified.

On Wednesday February 26 2014 all students and staff of NSEE are encouraged to wear something "PINK" to symbolize that we do not support bullying of any kind. Pink Shirt Day was started in Nova scotia by two students and has since become a world-wide stance against bullying. Together, we can take a stand in pink.Thank you for your support!
The NSEE Home & School put together a week of unbelieveable treats and pampering to all staff members at NSEE the week of February 10th. A huge thank you goes out to Home & School President Claudia Bryenton and all Home & School members for making Staff Appreciation week the "BEST"! Thank you again for the wonderful lunch and goodies and for making Staff Appreciation week the best ever!
On Thursday, February 21st, NSEE grade 5 & 6 students played against Blackville in our annual Principal's Cup hockey game. Goals were scored for NSEE by: Blake McFarlane, Logan Matchett, Justin Matchett and Mark Jardine. After a great game and with a score of 7-2, NSEE brought home the trophy!!A special thanks go out to the staff at the canteen (Anna and her helpers)!

Students and staff of NSEE will be celebrating Winter Appreciation Week "Olympic Style" starting Tuesday February 18th until Friday February 21st.. Each day, students and staff will take part in a particular theme related to the current 2014 Winter olympics in Sochi Russia. Attached is the schedule for all the events during the week...Go Canada Go!!
